As we find ourselves navigating through uncharted territory of this COVID-19 pandemic, as a makeup artist, I found it necessary to educate myself in bringing my clients the safest and most sterile way of applying beauty products. I am doing my due diligence stay informed in the process of keeping a safe environment for my talent and clients.
Here are some of the certifications I have taken to keep informed and help with my prevention and sanitation process:

• Certified Sanitation Specialist
• Certified in Disinfection by Barbacide
• Barbicide COVID-19 Certification
• Safe Sets International COVID-19 Certification
Here is some insight to my process of standard health and safety protocols that you can expect:
*Starting with cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting designated station. Frequently cleaning hands and use of hand sanitizer. Please allow an additional 12 minutes between clients/talent to restart the process of thoroughly disinfecting my station. This includes wiping down my chair, counter tops, tools, as well as products and allows time to properly dispose of all used tools, and proper hand wash.
*Including to my kit PPE such as-
Masks, face shield or protective eye wear, gloves or IV patches (to create a barrier to safely use back of hand as a palette). Disposable applicators, wax or metal non porous palette, 70% Isopropyl Alcohol, Hospital Grade disinfection for non-porous implements, disposable placemats, and sterilization autoclave to complete eliminating germs, bacteria and destruct any further microbial life.
*Separating kit/ bag for each client or talent so that brushes and tools are only used for that individual person, or if time allows proper disinfection of sed tools and brushes between clients. Keeping clean and dirty items in separate well marked and covered containers.
Please feel free to ask questions on proper infection control or anyhealth concerns.
