How far in advance should I book my makeup artist?
To secure your preferred artist, it’s best to book 6–8 months in advance. Popular dates fill up quickly, so early booking is highly recommended.
What is required to reserve my wedding date?
To officially book your wedding date, a signed contract and a 50% retainer are required. It is suggested to finalize your booking at least three months before your wedding, but availability is on a first-come, first-served basis.
When should you schedule a preview session?
You can request a trial at any time, but I recommend scheduling it 2–3 months before your wedding if you’d like a trial before officially booking. If you book our services first to reserve the date in advance, I will reach out via email when it’s time to schedule your trial.
How to prepare for your preview consultation?
To ensure we create your perfect bridal look, please send me:
- Inspiration photos of makeup and hairstyles you love
- A recent photo of yourself
- A photo of your wedding dress
You’re welcome to bring your veil or hair accessories for us to incorporate. Feel free to bring a friend or family member for support.
How many trial sessions will I need?
Most brides require just one trial to finalize their wedding look. However, if you’d like to explore additional styles, you may schedule another trial session.
Can I schedule my trial on the same day as my engagement photos?
While you can, it’s generally not recommended, as most brides prefer a different look for their engagement photos than their wedding day.
Can you accommodate large bridal parties?
Yes! If your bridal party requires multiple services, Angela Womack Makeup and Hair has a team of talented artists available to assist. The number of services we can accommodate depends on the timeframe of your wedding day.
Do you stay for touch-ups?
Once all hair and makeup services are complete, I provide a little extra time for final touch-ups. If you’d like extended coverage for touch-ups throughout the day, I offer personal assistance packages. I can also travel to two local locations—typically your getting-ready location and your ceremony venue—for added convenience.
How much time should I plan for hair & makeup on my wedding day?
- Bride: Hair & Makeup – 2 to 2 and half hours
- Hair or Makeup only – 1.5 hours
- Bridal Party: Hair & Makeup – 1.5 hours per person
- Hair or Makeup only – 45 minutes per person
- Half hour to set up, 15 to 20 mins for touch ups at the end, half hour to breakdown.
What makeup products do you use?
I carefully curate my kit with high-quality, professional products, including Laura Mercier, Chanel, MAC, Graftobian Hi-Def Foundation, Kett Airbrush, Pat McGrath, Danessa Myricks, Bobbi Brown, Kiehl’s and more. I stay up to date with the latest trends, take master classes yearly, and continuously test new products to provide the best results.
Do you offer airbrush makeup?
Yes! Airbrush makeup is a great option for brides who want a lightweight, long-lasting, flawless finish. Since it’s applied as a fine mist, it requires less product while still providing buildable coverage from light to full.
Is gratuity included in your pricing?
No, gratuity is not included but always appreciated! If you’re happy with your services, tips can be given directly to the stylist your working with as a token of your appreciation.
